Lindsey Smith-Trostle is a freelance cellist and native of Nashville, TN. She holds a BM in cello performance from Loyola University New Orleans and a MM in cello performance from Belmont University. Lindsey plays regularly with Huntsville Symphony and various other regional symphonies and has recorded with various artists including Jack White, Tanya Tucker, and Kirk Franklin. She has performed with numerous artists including Futureman's Black Mozart Ensemble at Bonnaroo, Transiberian Orchestra in various cities, Dennis DeYoung and Smokey Robinson in New Orleans. She performs with the Athena Piano Trio, composes her own music, and experiments with hip hop, indie, and other genres of music. Lindsey has also performed on Live in Studio C and in master classes for Benjamin Zander and Tokyo String Quartet and teaches privately at Belmont Academy and Lipscomb Academy.
