Sarah Williams is from Ware Neck, Virginia. She began playing piano at age
8, taking from local instructors in the area. She accompanied at her church
and for her school choir. She also spent two summers in Michigan, at the Interlochen
Arts Camp. In 2002, she moved to Nashville to attend Vanderbilt University
and study piano with Karen Krieger. While studying, she began teaching through
the Piano Pedagogy program at the Blair School, a closely monitored program
also under the direction of pedagogue Karen Krieger. Since her graduation
in 2006, she has continued teaching privately throughout the Nashville area.
She presently accompanies for the Hillcrest United Methodist Choir and for
students at Belmont University.
