Tibby Christenberry - flute

Tibby ChristenberryTibby Christenberry was born into a musical family, and grew up singing and playing chamber music with her parents and four siblings. Her flute studies began in Kansas City, with James Hamilton, and continued with John Boulton at the University of Kansas, where she majored in music therapy. In Nashville, she has studied with Ann Richards and Erik Gratton. Tibby has maintained a private flute studio for 20 years, and has been the flute instructor at Belmont Academy of Belmont University since 2002. She is the Principal Flutist of the Nashville Philharmonic, and is a substitute for the Nashville Symphony.
