Lindsey Smith Trostle - cello
Lindsey Smith-Trostle is a native of Nashville and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in cello performance from Loyola University in New Orleans and is now pursuing her Masters in cello performance at Belmont University. While in New Orleans, she was the principal cellist in the Loyola Symphony Orchestra, member of the Loyola String Quartet, and a contractor for weddings. She performed as a sub for the Louisiana Philharmonic, and with Smokey Robinson and Theresa Andersson at Jazz Fest. Lindsey participated in the Brevard Music Festival in the summer of 2001 as well as having an original composition performed by the Nashville Youth Orchestra in 1998. Since moving back to Nashville in 2003, she is the principal cellist of the Belmont Orchestra, graduate assistant teacher of cello at Belmont, and a member of the Tennessee Philharmonic, the Bryan Symphony Orchestra, and a sub for Huntsville Symphony, Jackson Symphony, and the Paducah Symphony. Lindsey performs frequently throughout the region including performances with Trans-Siberian Orchestra (2005 & 2006 regional tours), Futureman at Bonaroo 2006, as well as weddings, church events, and chamber music.
